The Dry Hill Base Officer’s Wives Club meets in September 1957. The Dry Hill Air Defense Command Radar Station on Swan Road in Watertown closed in the 1990s, but I’m loving these vintage looks.

The final spike is driven into the 3.5-mile long railroad connecting Pine Camp (now Fort Drum) to Calcium in Northern New York on March 14,1941.
At this time in the state, just about every major and most minor cities, including military posts, were served by one or more railroads.
