♻️ Expanded Battery Recycling Now Available! ♻️

We’re excited to share an update to the Monroe County Battery Recycling Program!

Residents can now recycle more types of batteries — including certain lithium batteries — at approved drop-off locations throughout Monroe County.

✅ ACCEPTED:
🔋 Portable rechargeable batteries under 11 lbs.
🔋 Single-use (primary) batteries
📱 Cell phones

⚠️ NOT ACCEPTED:
❌ Car batteries (Wet batteries)
❌ Damaged or defective batteries
❌ Batteries over 11 lbs.
❌ High energy batteries over 300 watt-hours (Outdoor power equipment, scooters, e-bikes, etc.)
❌ Batteries that are part of a recall
