Meet Siyanna Cody, a phenomenal International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) student at Waterloo East High School who is proving you can do it all! 🏆📚

Siyanna has completely "flipped the script" during her senior year, maintaining a stellar 4.0+ GPA while achieving her best school attendance yet. As a five-sport athlete who also balances extracurriculars and a part-time job, she completely busts the myth that IB students can't participate in sports or outside activities. In fact, she says the program has actually improved her time management and work ethic.

For Siyanna, the tight-knit DP cohort and mind-challenging classes like Theory of Knowledge (TOK) have been highlights of her high school career.

"The DP program is one of the best opportunities within Waterloo Schools at no cost," Siyanna shared. "It adds value to your academic career, pushes you to your full potential, and prepares you for college. I see this giving me the opportunity to increase work ethic and build up resilience."
