💙Today is World Diabetes day.💙I just wanted to share some things T1D’s have to deal with. We never know if we’re in a bad mood or it’s our blood sugar ( until we check it obviously). If a diabetic ever says they change their lancet, don’t believe them unless they’re in their first or second year because after a while that’s the least of our worries. We don’t always dose for our food, we forget. Diabetes is exhausting both mentally and physically so we sometimes just don’t think about what we’re eating or if we corrected or not. One of the most frequently asked questions that people ask is “ are you allowed to eat that?”, If you ask i’ll more than likely look at you while I take a big bite because yes I can eat it. No we didn’t get diabetes from “eating too much sugar“😑. It’s an auto-immune disorder that has no cure, But like i’ve said I love my life with diabetes despite all the things I go through. I know God chose me to have this crazy and sometimes weird disease for a reason and I’m not going to let it consume my life.

If you are experiencing increased thirst, finding you have to p*e a lot, excessively hungry, or have blurred vision… These are all symptoms of T1D and I recommend you get tested or see your doctor no matter your age.
