Brandi Jo, manager at the Matanuska Community Farmers Market, dropped by on Friday with a super surprise visit!

Thanks to the LFPA, we received 40lbs of precious cargo from our local producers & artisans!

We’d like to note here that you can find all these farmers/producers/artisans at the Matanuska Community Farmers Market on Wednesday eves, from 4-7pm at the United Protestant Church parking lot in downtown Palmer (713 S Denali St).

What’s even better is that they proudly accept SNAP/EBT and can double SNAP dollars by up to $40 at each market. Shoppers can also spend their WIC & Senior Farmers Market Nutrition coupons at the market.

And what local, nutritional items were available? Well… mini romaine, bok choy, pac choy, romaine, spring onions, kale, chickens, mushrooms, mixed greens, radish, spinach & microgreens.
