Headed for Seattle -
Just finished this set of 4 reproduction George Washington Camp Cups.
The original cups were made by Philadelphia silversmith, Edmund Milne, in 1777. Washington commissioned Milne to make 12. Thankfully, all 12 originals survived and are on display at The Museum of the American Revolution, Phila., PA.
My faithful pewter adaptations are very popular, especially right here in Washington, NH. We have the distinction of being the first town in the United States incorporated under the name of George Washington, December 13, 1776👍👍

All done.
Hard to believe it has been 10 years this month since I made the first Martini Goblet. It was a customer request. Since I’d never seen one made from pewter, I said, yes.
I wanted mine to be unique so I added the beaded edge to the base. I also decided to taper the upper and lower sections of the hand cast shaft.
The end result is a pleasing form that is perfectly balanced and comfortable to hold with just the thumb, middle & forefinger.
I’ve lost track of how many I’ve made. Word has it that Martini’s taste better in them too😉
Cheers🍸🍸🍸🍸
