Dammeron Valley Fire & Rescue

As we kick off America's 250th birthday weekend, and a holiday where fireworks are allowed in certain areas, we want to remind everyone that fireworks are never allowed in Dammeron Valley. In fact, they're not allowed in any unincorporated areas of Washington County, or on the surrounding public lands.

With the current dry and hot conditions and elevated wildfire risk, please be smart and safe with your celebrations this weekend. If you absolutely must have the bangs and oohs and ahhs of fireworks, head into town to check out one of the professional shows.

As always, if you see smoke call 911 and we'll come check it out! Like your favorite MeeMaw who keeps repeating stories, we'll say it again...we'd rather come verify it's not a fire than have someone report it too late.
