The best-case explanation for Facebook of the situation that I just covered for PCMag is that its content-moderation machinery went sufficiently mad to block and retroactively delete links from multiple sites and then lied to users about why it did that, but at least it wasn't deliberate: https://www.pcmag.com/news/facebook-really-really-doesnt-want-you-to-read-this-one-story
That right there is yet another reason why I've quit trying to promote my work here. Facebook has shown over and over that it does not value news, and it's foolish to build or maintain an audience on a platform this unreliable.
