It’s so exciting follow the lives of these wonderful, accomplished young folks and to see them move on to the next chapter in their lives. Mohamad, Betty Toure’s son is graduating with a degree from Georgetown University in Business and Global Affairs. Denise Helou’s daughter, Zada, just got her bachelors degree from University of Maryland Baltimore College in chemical engineering. Mesrak Assefa’s daughter Yenee just graduated from Brown University and will be heading down to Columbia on a Fulbright scholarship. Congratulations to the scholars and to their parents who work so hard to help them along their way.
Our summary joint recommendation letter for potential employers 🤓 applies to all three of them (who we’ve known since they were kiddos ) … In addition to being hard-working and smart, they are also a considerate and kind. It’s always a pleasure to see them when they spend an hour, a day, or a weekend at the market. They are bright strands of thread in the multicolor fabric of the beautiful Eastern Market community.
