The weather on the East Coast has been giving “Fifty Shades of Grey” — and I’m definitely not talking about the elements trying to romanticize me! It’s been full gloom: rainy, cloudy, windy, cool and the occasional thunderstorm.
Usually, I hibernate from weather like this; but after nearly five days binge-watching shows like “Nemesis” and “Man on Fire” (both on Netflix); eating snacks; and catching up on household chores, I had to get outside.
I decided to get some fresh air in the 2026 Nissan Murano. Sleek, sturdy and known for “rarely needing repairs,” the mid-sized SUV offers near-luxury comfort, countless safety features and is one attractive whip.
I went for a rural ride into the suburbs of Virginia, where I posted up in a park listening to the Siriusly Sinatra channel on SiriusXM and allowed the Murano’s massaging front seats to treat me like I was at the spa.
Even with the rain drops hitting the sunroof and me wishing the sun would shine, my afternoon escapism in the Murano was the self-care time I needed.

“Behold, The Green, and The Gold!” 🔰
It’s always a homecoming when I’m back at my alma mater Norfolk State University, and I rolled up on campus ready to inform and empower the 2026 class of NSU’s Spartans Promise to Persist with Purpose program.
I came to pour into them, but they always end up inspiring me!
Did a 📸 shoot on campus with SP3 All-Star Jah Rosado Jr. (he’s so dope!)!
PS: Catch me in “Rise of The Legion: A Documentary” at a film festival near you! The film about NSU’s legendary marching band is racking up awards and making an impact!

Was invited to opening night of the hilarious 44 Obama Musical in Washington, DC at the Shakespeare Theatre Company.
This was my second time seeing this laugh-out-loud satirical look into the presidency of Barack Obama—my first was in New York City a few years ago. But the show has gown so much since then.
The entire cast is really good. Kudos to T.j. Wilkins (Barack Obama), my longtime friend Shanice (Michaelle Obama), Chad Doreck (Joe Biden) and the entire cast. (Shanice wasn't in DC opening night due to her residency with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis in Las Vegas.)
The musical's writer/director Eli Bauman has created a show that offers political escapism; and with everything going on in the world currently, we need more of this!
Catch this musical when it comes to your city. I promise you it's a great time! 🎭
