It starts with light. An explosion of color that burst from far away exposing the shapes and textures of what was not seen before. Life stands by knowing all we can do is watch and remember. And when it's over we are left with a vivid impression that only the experience of being present provides.
This morning I did not expect much because of the heavy cloud cover. My wife said "you need to be there". So I made preparations to leave well before sunrise. Then veering only a few hundred feet from where I would normally be I was met with a new perspective. It's amazing how being able to see from a slightly different vantage point can change so much of what we see.
