Holding AI Accountable: Meet 2026 Teacher Council Exploring Technology's Use in Schools 06/05/2026

How can journalism help inform classroom conversations about artificial intelligence awareness, ethics, and accountability?

The Pulitzer Center’s Information and AI Teacher Advisory Council plays a pivotal role in fostering conversations about AI accountability in education spaces and extending the impact of our reporting on Information and Artificial Intelligence. We are thrilled to announce the eight educators selected for the third cohort.

This cohort includes classroom teachers, librarians, and technology directors working in seven different school communities across the Northeast, South, Midwest, and Southwest regions of the United States who are actively exploring the questions their school communities have about AI. They are leading dialogues about the shared responsibility of AI accountability in education with at least 60 educators, students, and/or family members, and creating project models for other educators to utilize to spark similar conversations in their own learning communities for the 2026-27 school year.
