We lost one of the greats. Brett James is one of my songwriting heroes. You’ve heard his words through songs like “Jesus Take the Wheel”, “I Hold On” and Aldean’s “The Truth” (among hundreds of others).
I’m not sure I’ve gone back to a song over and over again as much as Kip’s “Faith When I Fall”. It’s been there for me like an old friend for over a decade now. It’s true art…prolific in its subject matter but so human. He was and always will be the bar for what I’m chasing as a songwriter. Rest easy 🕊️
