Across the Global Action Platform, some of the boldest actions are organized and led by young people.
In Pakistan, a youth-led group is securing public libraries and parks for their community. In Denmark, young volunteers are turning worry about the future into action they can point to. At a school in Montenegro, students are raising money for a classmate's medical treatment.
Young people are not the leaders of tomorrow. They are already leading, shaping action in their own communities right now. And volunteering gives back as much as it asks: a sense of belonging, confidence, and skills that last.
Now their actions are part of a living, global picture of volunteering in motion. Whatever your age or your cause, there is room for yours. Add your action at action.iave.org.
Last Tuesday, IAVE launched the Global Action Mapping Platform, a new global map that brings the world's volunteering efforts together in one place, aligned to the commitments of the Call to Action for the Future of Volunteering: Recognition, Support, and Safeguarding.
The Call to Action was shaped by this global community, and the platform is how we track our collective progress against it. Our shared goal is one million data points by 2030.
Join a live demo this week to see the platform in action and add your work to the map.
