More amazingness from my friend, Katelynn Devinney at Pockets of Hope! If you know someone going through a mastectomy or just want to support her work, check out Pockets of Hope. Katelynn started this organization after her mom’s breast cancer returned. After her initial diagnosis, the only thing that felt comfortable that was also able to hold her surgical drains, were these comfy hoodies with inside pockets. But when Katelynn went to buy a new one for her mom, she discovered how insanely expensive they are. In fact, many products that are specifically for mastectomy patients are usually more than double the cost. That didn’t sit well with Katelynn. So she started ordering hoodies from Amazon and then sewing inside pockets for women going through the post-mastectomy journey.

She’s now made hundreds of these hoodies, completely free of charge, for anyone who requests them. If you know someone who could benefit, or just want to make a donation to help her cover the costs, I know she would be very grateful! 💖

I find myself so inspired by Katelynn every day. After all, not all heroes wear capes… some wear spots. 🦒🦒🦒

Harvard Business Review published a report on the effects of emotional writing and found some pretty convincing results that prove writing about positive experiences can improve our emotional health for up to 4-6 weeks.

As November winds to a close, consider writing for at least 2 minutes every day about positive experiences in your life. You’ll be amazed at how quickly your mind begins to gravitate towards a more positive way of thinking.
