I hosted the 10th annual Game Devs of Color Expo, but was even more nervous than the last four times I'd hosted the event. "Why?", you ask? Because this year, the event was receiving a "Certificate of Recognition" from NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment !!

The NYC Watch Party went super smoothly and was incredibly fun (as you can probably see from the attached media on this post 😆)! There were a bunch of talks, developer interviews, and exclusive offline tournaments were some watch party attendants won prizes like a limited-edition SonicFox plushie !!

After accepting the certificate from the Mayor's Office, one of the founding directors, Catt Small, even made a really sweet heartfelt speech. I've been hosting the event for 5 years now, but this year has definitely stood out as the one I'm the most proud to be a part of. 🥰
