Congratulations to BME Post Doctoral Scholar Dr. Max Haberbusch for his recent 1st Place Win at the 2024 SPARC FAIR Codeathon!

The 2024 SPARC FAIR Codeathon, funded by NIH and hosted by the SPARC Data and Resource Center, was a virtual three-day event held August 10-12, 2024. It gathered participants from around the globe to collaborate on innovative biomedical and neuroscience projects, focusing on improving the FAIRness of digital assets in research. Dr. Max Haberbusch and his team developed SPARC.RL -- a user-friendly toolchain designed to make reinforcement learning control of medical devices more accessible to biomedical engineers. The project won one of the two grand prizes, receiving $15,000 for its innovation and impact.
