In 2025, EDA modernized its operations to implement a series of new policies as required under our 2025 reauthorization. These include a comprehensive bureau wide reorganization, the streamlining operations to better support our applicants, and revamping our management structure to provide better executive oversight.

Deputy Assistant Secretary and Chief Operating Officer Ben Page participated in the 2026 NADO & DDAA Washington Conference earlier today. He discussed EDA’s operational improvements, reauthorization, and our support of Trump administration priorities, such as energy independence, workforce development, and national security, which will foster economic development in distressed communities nationwide.
