The virtual Safe Surrender starts this Friday. It's an opportunity for you if you are wanted for a misdemeanor bench warrant in DC to surrender voluntarily. Prosecutors will give favorable consideration to those who participate. Register for a first step to a second chance. https://www.dccourts.gov/safesurrender
Just one more Safe Surrender Saturday left - this Saturday, 9/24, from 9am to 4pm. Anyone with a bench warrant should come to the Moultrie Courthouse (500 Indiana Ave, NW) and get it resolved. Over 98% of those who have done so so far have walked out the same day! If you go to www.dccourts.gov/safesurrender you can check and see if you have a bench warrant and listen to 2007 Safe Surrender participant Willie Jones tell you about how well it worked for him!
