Our team was proud to connect with passionate individuals committed to shaping the future of early childhood education. From sharing program opportunities to engaging in powerful conversations about career pathways, it was an inspiring day of growth, networking, and empowerment.

Big shout-out to our incredible Program Advisor, Sherill Grant-Carpenter , who was the face of DC LEAD during the event! Her passion, knowledge, and warm spirit truly represented the heart of our program.

We’re excited to continue building strong partnerships that support our scholars and strengthen the ECE workforce across D.C.!

Giving Back on International Volunteer Day !!

Yesterday, the Southeast Children's Fund DC LEAD program had an amazing time celebrating at Bread for the City💙 Giving back to our community, especially during the holiday season, is at the heart of what we do.

Bread for the City is a powerful organization making a real impact by providing food, clothing, medical care, legal assistance, and more to DC residents in need. Their mission to fight poverty and uproot systemic racism aligns with our values, and we’re so grateful to have been part of their efforts.

The holiday season is a time for giving, and yesterday reminded us just how much stronger we are when we work together. We left inspired and energized by the incredible work Bread for the City does—and we can’t wait to partner with them again! 💪
