For their final project, Government & Statistics students completed the Take Action project, in which they identify an issue of significance to their community and take action to address it. As their final Fieldwork, they visited The Well at Oxon Run to learn more about how this small urban farm works with their community to address food insecurity. Students volunteered their time, weeding and mulching, then harvested mulberries.

Urban Trails’ for their last walk of the semester went back to where they started—at Blagden Alley and the Shaw neighborhood to look at architecture and murals. Swipe to see them back at the beginning of the semester!
Students in Marine Biology visited Dr. Rebecca Helm’s marine science lab at Georgetown University to learn more about the types of research her lab is undertaking and talk about how international policy works in helping to monitor and protect marine life in international waters.
