My father is a plumber, and he takes pride in his work as if it were his own home. He’s the kind of guy who would redo an entire job if he thought it wasn’t perfect.

He got a job for a complete bathroom renovation. New tiles, new fixtures, the whole shebang. The homeowners were initially very enthusiastic. They chose every single detail – the tiles, the grout color, even the position of the sink and toilet. Dad was involved in every step, ensuring everything was perfect.

Fast forward to the last day of the job. Dad was just finishing the grouting when the homeowners suddenly changed their tune. They started complaining about the tiles, saying they didn’t meet their expectations. Complete nonsense, since they had chosen everything themselves. But here’s the kicker: they told him they would only pay HALF of what they owed him. HALF! After he had busted his butt for two weeks to complete their dream bathroom.

Dad tried to reason with them, but they wouldn’t have it. They smugly told him to finish up and leave.
