Join the Georgetown University Ukrainian Society and UVF Ukraine Volya Foundation for an event dedicated to raising awareness about the struggles faced by Ukrainian children during the war.
📽️ What to Expect:
- A screening of a documentary about children living in orphanages through the war in Ukraine.
- A panel discussion with incredible speakers:
Gillian Huebner, Executive Director of the Collaborative on Global Children's Issues at Georgetown University.
Trygve Borve, a Norwegian child and youth psychologist specializing in trauma recovery.
Nataliya Vyetrova, CEO of Ukraine Volya Foundation
The discussion will be moderated by Stolayr a Professional with 20+ years in Project Finance and Impact Investing at the International Finance Corporation and co-founder of Sofia-A

Meet Daruna and Ivan :

Daruna, age 5 struggled with intense anxiety and fear after a traumatic separation from her family. Thanks to therapy, she’s learning to express herself and play with confidence.

Ivan, age 6 lost his father in the war, but with support, he’s found his smile and confidence again, sharing memories and connecting with others.
