Gateway Educational Center

We are excited to welcome our newest Gateway school family member for the 2026-2027 school year, Ms. Cameron Whitney. When we asked Ms. Whitney for a little write up, here are the words shared!

“I worked as the Assistant Principals’ Secretary at WHS last year. Before that, I worked as a youth case worker for Compass Health, so this will be my first year teaching. However, teaching has always been a dream of mine. I graduated from WHS and went to State Fair Community College to get my Associate’s degree in Psychology, and then I went to UCM to get my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well.

My family is originally from the Bay Area in California, but my dad was a pilot in the Air Force, so we moved all over when I was little, and we landed in Warrensburg right before I started 4th grade back in 2010! Fun fact: my dad and Mrs. K’s husband used to fly together back then, so Mrs. K has known me since I was 10 years old 🙂

I am getting married next summer to my amazing fiancée, Jordyn, who is also a teacher in the Warrensburg School District. She teaches 3rd grade at Martin Warren. Together, we have 2 cats, Cheeto and Dorito. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, detailing cars, and doing woodworking projects.

I am beyond excited to join the Gateway family next year!”- Cameron Whitney.
