Safe and easy way to pay your taxes! Have your payment in the dropbox by midnight on December 31st to avoid penalties and interest. Your receipt will be mailed to you. The dropbox will be closed from January 1st to January 5th.

DON’T get stuck paying penalties and interest on your tax payment because it didn’t get postmarked by December 31st. Mail does NOT get postmarked at the local post office unless you take it in to get hand stamped. If you drop it off it goes to the distribution center before it gets the postmark. The post office may close at noon on the 31st.

Johnson County Collector and Assessor offices are closing at 12:30 due to inclement weather. Stay safe out there!
