Love Events by Jen specializes in the detailed planning and design for every event. I will work with you personally so that I can get a vision of what you want your wedding to become and then create your vision into reality! I truly believe success of an event is all in all the details and organization! We focus on building close relationships with our clients. Our relationship will provide comfor

Not gonna lie — I was hesitant to post this because I truly don’t want to throw shade at any vendor in our industry. But this conversation needs to happen.

A huge number of couples book their venue first, see the line “we require a day of coordinator,” and assume that’s all they need. By the time they hire a planner who offers coordination services, the misleading language is already planted. Then we spend months gently re-explaining what our role actually looks like.

We’re stuck on this hamster wheel — and it’s exhausting for everyone.

Here’s the truth we wish more couples (and industry pros) understood:

We do so much more than “coordinate a wedding day.”
That’s exactly why we call ourselves planners, even when you only book our coordination package. Our title doesn’t change based on the service level. We still step in to take your vision and turn it into a logical, efficient, stress-free flow — building timelines, confirming vendors, running rehearsals, and managing all the details that make your day run smoothly.

Real coordination doesn’t magically start the morning of. It begins weeks earlier so nothing falls through the cracks.

This carousel is my attempt to retire the vague “day of” language and re-educate both couples and the industry. Better terminology leads to better expectations and smoother weddings for everyone.

Planners — I know I’m not alone in feeling this.

Venues & fellow pros — what are your thoughts? Do you still use “day of coordinator” in your contracts or marketing? What language do you prefer?

Let’s talk about it 👇
