Guidelines for Enjoying Our Sensory Calming Play Space

We are thrilled to see the excitement and joy that our new sensory calming play space has brought to our community. As we continue this journey, it’s important to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. To achieve this, we ask all families to adhere to the following guidelines while using the sensory side.

Parental Supervision
Parental Responsibility: Our sensory room is parent-directed at all times. You are responsible for your child and must be with them at all times while in the sensory room.

Sensory Room Rules
No Food or Drink: Please refrain from bringing any food, drink, or diaper bags onto the sensory side.

Footwear Restrictions: Shoes are not allowed in the sensory room, and socks are not permitted in the sandpit.

Sandpit Etiquette: Throwing sand is not allowed. If this occurs, we will ask you to remove your child.

No Outside Toys: To maintain a cohesive environment, outside toys are not permitted in the sensory room.

Running Prohibited: For the safety and comfort of all, running is not allowed in the sensory room.

Swing Use:
Calming Swings: Our swings are designed to be calming, not for vigorous play. Please ensure swings are used over the crash pad area.

Respect for Equipment:
Cleanliness and Respect: We ask that you pick up after your child and treat our equipment with care and respect.

Maintaining a Calm Atmosphere:
This space is intended to provide a calm atmosphere for all. If a child becomes too rowdy, we may ask that they be taken back to the playroom side.

Scheduling and Availability:
Please note that there will be times when the sensory room is unavailable due to therapy sessions or scheduling reasons. We encourage you to check our weekly calendar, which is pinned to the top of the page, for the latest updates.

We are incredibly grateful for your support and enthusiasm for this new adventure at My Little Town. Your cooperation and understanding help us create a nurturing environment for everyone. Thank you for being a part of our MLT community!
