As a follow-on to our successful initiation of a Soldier Virtual Experiment and technology demonstration at Fort Hood, GVSC hosted 13 Soldiers from the 1st Cavalry Division Transformation in Contact unit to evaluate and shape the next generation of crew-based technologies.
The Soldiers participated in virtual experiment missions and attended tech demos and discussions with multiple industry partners. Soldiers also met with program managers to discuss legacy and future vehicle needs.
In partnership with industry, we also demonstrated cutting-edge tech, including Augmented Reality vision blocks, 3D audio, and enhanced AI-driven Drone Swarming technologies (AiTDR).
This collaboration is on a clear timeline. Based on direct feedback from Soldiers, the goal is to integrate six new crew-based technologies into ground vehicles by fall for their situational training exercise. From there, the tech will be down selected, with the final candidates slated for demonstration during month-long maneuvers at the National Training Center in March.
This is what our permanent bridge between engineers, warfighters, and private industry looks like in action—shortening timelines and bringing combat-relevant capabilities to Soldiers faster than traditional development pathways.

Last month, GVSC executed a Limited Purpose CRADA with Areté to accelerate integration of advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) hardware and software onto Army ground vehicles.
The first phase focuses on integrating Areté technology into a GVSC system integration lab under the Enhanced Vetronics project, leveraging a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) architecture. This partnership creates an agile pathway to rapidly integrate and evaluate cutting-edge commercial EW capabilities for the Army.
Together, we’re equipping Soldiers with advanced EW tools to enhance situational awareness, disrupt enemy command and control, and secure our communications—strengthening a more lethal, capable force ready to dominate any battlefield.
