And last June is Men’s Health Month!
Men’s Health Month is a reminder that being strong does not mean ignoring what you need. It means getting checked. It means resting. It means talking when something is heavy. It means taking your physical health, mental health, and emotional health seriously before life forces you to. A lot of men are used to pushing through everything. Work. Fatherhood. Business. Stress. Bills. Family. Leadership. But pushing through is not the same as being okay. So this month, check on the men around you. Fathers, brothers, uncles, coaches, mentors, friends, and the ones who always seem like they got it handled. And fellas listen to me....make the appointment. Take the walk. Drink the water. Say the prayer. Call somebody. Get some rest. You matter too! More than you realize. If your body is talking loud to you...then listen.

June is also Black Music Month 🎶🎮
Black music is the soundtrack to everything. Origin of it all. The cookout. The car ride. The cleaning day. The party. The arcade. The trailer. The moments you remember before you even remember what game you were playing. Black Music Month celebrates the sound, creativity, and influence of Black artists across generations. Gospel, blues, jazz, Motown, funk, R&B, hip hop, house, techno, country, rock, and everything in between. So much of what the world listens to comes from us. At Round 1, music is part of the experience. The trailer pulls up, the games start, the music hits, and the whole mood changes. Detroit especially knows what Black music means. From Motown to techno to hip hop, this city helped shape the sound of the world. So all month, give flowers to the music, the artists, the culture, and the sounds that raised us.

The new Spider-Noir series is on Prime Video, and Season 1 gives us 8 episodes of Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, a private investigator in 1930s New York who gets pulled back into his old life as the city’s only superhero, The Spider. The cold part is the show is giving viewers two ways to watch it: Authentic Black & White or True-Hue Full Color. That is what makes this interesting. Black and white feels like the real noir experience. Shadows, mystery, detective energy, old school crime story vibes. Color gives it more of that comic book feel where the suits, lighting, and world pop more. So this is not really about whether Spider-Noir is valid. Real ones been knew that. The question is how are you watching it? Black and white for the full noir mood, or color for the comic book sauce?
