2026’s Week of the Young Child Celebration at La Piñata with a Block Party and events at George Hail Library, was a big hit! Over 220 people (small and big) came to celebrate child care providers and teachers with: chips and guacamole, fun games, kid’s neighborhood drawings, art, chalk, games, a mental health walking labyrinth, and yoga. Thank you to the more than 20 community partners who came out to provide resources and fun free items to families! This was sponsored by a grant for affordable housing awareness, and a grant for recovery prevention resources for families.
