461st ACW leads the charge at RED FLAG - NELLIS 26-1!🚩

The 728th Battle Management Control Squadron, with support from the 330th Combat Training Squadron and 461st Air Control Wing recently led the way at RED FLAG - Nellis 26-1. They provided crucial Tactical Command and Control for one of the most intense and realistic combat training exercises in the U.S. Air Force!

RED FLAG - Nellis 26-1 was a multi-week, day-and-night, live-fly exercise on the Nevada Test and Training Range. The primary goal was to challenge participants to plan and execute complex air domain missions in a contested, degraded, and operationally limited environment, complete with a robust simulated Integrated Air Defense System.

"Our airmen from the 461 ACW were integrated with thousands of service members from the U.S. joint force and our Royal Australian Air Force and Royal Air Force Allies, ensuring effective integration of multiple weapons systems across the air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains. This exercise was crucial for us to build a lethal, cohesive, combat-ready team; while enhancing our interoperability and ensuring we are ready for any real-world mission."

— Maj Dustin “Duke” Mountcastle, Chief of Wing Weapons and Tactics, 461 ACW

It was an honor to welcome Major General Steven Behmer, Commander of the Fifteenth Air Force, for an in-depth look at our mission readiness. He engaged directly with members of the 5th Combat Communications Group and 461st Operations Group and the advanced equipment they operate. The visit showcased how our dedicated professionals keep the Liberaiders mission strong and always ready.

Liberaider of the Week for February 9-13 is SSgt John Meagher!

SSgt Meagher created 461 ACW’s first ever comprehensive battle management training that qualified 45 members for deployment! The Air Force was able to avert $1.4 million dollars through his efforts. Additionally, he showcased his ability as a leader by becoming a TCCC instructor for two squadrons, revamping the program by updating expired records and training over 80 personal wings wide, including future instructors and short notice deployers. Congratulations on your incredible achievements! Your dedication, consistency, and hard work have truly paid off.
