We’re proud to share some exciting news!

SafeTec Training Services is honored to be a partner in a groundbreaking, multi-year initiative supporting the Philadelphia Fire Department. In collaboration with DocGo and LaGuardia Community College, this program will create a clear pathway for EMTs to advance to AEMT and for AEMTs to become paramedics.

Training will take place at the Philadelphia Fire Academy and will include a state-approved AEMT program along with nationally accredited paramedic education through CoAEMSP and CAAHEP.

This first-of-its-kind program, launching its inaugural cohort in late spring 2026 represents a major investment in professional development and the future of EMS. It not only creates meaningful career advancement opportunities for PFD members, but also strengthens the level of care provided to the residents and visitors of Philadelphia.

We’re grateful to be part of this collaboration and look forward to helping shape the next generation of EMS professionals. 🚑

📋 Thinking about becoming an EMT in Pennsylvania? Here's exactly what it takes:

1️⃣ Complete a PA Dept. of Health-approved EMT course (that's us! ✅)
2️⃣ Pass the NREMT cognitive exam
3️⃣ Pass the NREMT psychomotor skills exam
4️⃣ Apply for PA state certification
