This weekend, the Chiefs and the 49ers are set to light up Las Vegas in the Super Bowl. While there's sure to be star power in the stands (and we're not just talking about the Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce show), the real MVP of the Super Bowl in recent years has been something else entirely – the wireless network coverage.

According to the Wireless Infrastructure Association, last year's Super Bowl set records in wireless data usage, showcasing the incredible capabilities of modern telecom infrastructure:

📶 Verizon fans used 47.8 TB in and around the stadium on gameday. That was up nearly 60% from 2022. The nearly 48 TB of data is the equivalent to binge-watching a large screen TV in HD for three straight years!

5️⃣ AT&T Reported 21 TB of data on it’s networks, up from 13 TB in 2022. They also saw an 81% increase in 5G data in 2023 vs. 2022!

🏈9 TB of data was used by AT&T customers while tailgating and entering the stadium alone.

As the Chiefs and 49ers prepare for their big game, and fans gather in Las Vegas, the wireless networks are set to provide robust coverage for another year of high data usage.
