Run For Clare

Today we to remember Clare and the countless other lives lost to gun violence. We are proud to share that our local chapter worked alongside the Walnut Creek City Council to declare June 6th, Gun Violence Awareness Day in the city. 🧡

Wear Orange started in 2015, the same year Clare was killed, by Hadiya Pendleton‘s friends who commemorated her life by wearing orange to symbolize the color hunters wear to protect themselves and others. 10 years later, we continue the fight and advocate for safer communities.

Thinking about Clare today on what would be her 29th birthday. 🩵 Running 10 miles to honor her life every year has kept us connected to her by doing something she loved. Thank you for continuing to think of Clare all these years later.
