Animals in our shelter are all carefully evaluated to ensure they are appropriately placed into suitable and loving forever homes. Wild animal complaints are handled by highly trained animal control officers, and all animals are treated with respect and care, but the safety of residents is our number one priority.

This canine was picked up on Highland Avenue in Wallingford. We are looking for any information regarding this dog's identity, and where she might have come from.

This 8 month old, female (spayed) cat escaped from her home on North Elm Street a few days ago.
She is an indoor cat, so she is going to be frightened.
Neighbors, please check your garages, sheds, and check under decks.

Today, let's meet ACO Laura!
She is the definition of team player, and has the hustle and mindset to handle difficult situations.
Laura comes to us with a background in veterinary medicine (always an asset). She has been a veterinary technician for a looooong time, and currently splits her working life between us and Mount Carmel Veterinary Hospital .
In her free time she likes reading books, drinking coffee, and helping local rescues!! We are so lucky to have her on our team!!
