What an incredible experience!

Proyecto Cimarrón had the honor of visiting Choate Rosemary Hall to share the powerful tradition of Bomba. Through live drumming, dance, and call-and-response, we brought the energy and history of our culture to life.

Students were not just spectators they became part of the experience. From feeling the rhythm of the barriles to engaging in the dialogue between dancer and drummer, it was a beautiful moment of connection, learning, and expression.

Bomba is more than music, it’s storytelling, resistance, and community. Being able to share that through Proyecto Cimarrón and see the students respond with such enthusiasm reminded us why we do this work.
