New speed limit on College Avenue Chief Troy Tomaras announces a new speed limit change for College Avenue beginning February 16, 2024.

Local four-legged celebrity, Izzy the camel, has died Izzy the Camel, a well-known local celebrity in the Walla Walla, Waitsburg and Prescott areas, has died, according to a Facebook post.

With so many places closed today, staff would like to let residents know most City facilities are open as usual:

Open:
• City Hall — 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Utility Billing window in City Hall — 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Walla Walla Public Library — 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
• Service Center (Public Works, City of Walla Walla Parks and Recreation, Development Services) — 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; payments accepted 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Sudbury Landfill — 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m..
• Walla Walla Police Department lobby — 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Closed:
• Pottery Painting Studio
