🧡Our I/DD Program had the opportunity to visit the Spring Lake Heights Fire Department and Spring Lake First Aid Squad for a fun, hands-on learning experience! 🚒❤️🚑

We explored a fire truck and ambulance, learned about the tools and equipment first responders use every day, and practiced important fire safety skills, including creating a family escape plan and understanding firefighters’ protective gear. We also got to see medical equipment up close, including a blood pressure machine, arm sling, and gurney.

Thank you to the amazing firefighters and first aid personnel for welcoming us, answering our questions, and teaching us about the incredible work they do to keep our community safe. We are so grateful for this memorable experience! ❤️‍🔥

Our Community Inclusion Program provides meaningful opportunities for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) to build skills, make connections, and be part of a supportive community.
