β¨ THANK YOU TO OUR LA FAMILY! β¨
At Livingston Alternative, we donβt just have jobs β we have a purpose. ππππ
This team handles behaviors like pros, pushes academics every single day, and refuses to let students settle for less. No Fβs. Must be on pace. No excuses. ππͺ
And when it comes to attendance? We go to EXTREMES to get our students here! Rain, shine, traffic, phone calls, wake-up knocks, encouragement, tough love, second chances β whatever it takes because our students are worth it. πβοΈππ£οΈ
We are teachers. Mentors. Protectors. Cheerleaders. Problem solvers. We are Livingston Alternative! π
Most importantlyβ¦ we LOVE what we do. We love our students, we love our mission, and we love being part of this LA Family. πβοΈπ
Thank you to every teacher, sergeant, administrator, custodian, support staff, and every person behind the scenes who shows up daily ready to fight for kids. Yβall make the impossible possible every single day. ππ₯βοΈ
One Team. One Mission. One LA Family! ππ

Today was about growth π³, resilience πͺ, accountability π, and achievement πππ
Our students worked hard to overcome obstacles, stay focused π, and keep pushing forward β even on the tough days.
Today, we celebrated High School Graduatesπearning their Diplomas, student growth πππ, and the power of self-discipline, consistency, and positive choices β!
From the Pledge πΊπΈ and Invocation π to diploma presentations ππΈ and encouragement for the future πβοΈπ, the message remained the same: mistakes do not define the future. These students proved they can rise β¬οΈ, grow π, and succeed π―π!
We are proud of every student who kept showing up, putting in the work π οΈ, and finishing strong!
πβπβοΈπ
From the fencerow to the table and eventually to happy bellies! π«βοΈπ¨
Sgt. Hebert and Ms. Albin showed students how to make a modern version of Blackberry Cobbler using the blackberries and dewberries students have been picking for the last couple of months right from our very own fencerow!
The students got the full experienceβ>growingβ> harvestingβ>cleaningβ> cookingβ>and finally enjoying the sweet reward of their hard work. β²οΈπ±π«
Some berries may have disappeared during the picking process π, but there was still plenty left for cobbler, ice cream, whip topping, and even seconds for all!
It was a sweet little taste of summertime and a reminder that learning can happen in the garden, the kitchen, and around the table together. πβοΈπ
We are officially counting down to summer break! π
Today our students had the opportunity to learn from SFC Dillon J. Stewart and SSG Danielle Bonnet with the Louisiana National Guard πΊπΈπͺ
They shared valuable information about careers πΌ, education opportunities π, job skills π οΈ, contracts π, boot camp πββοΈ, and the difference between combat and non-combat roles. Our students were able to see that the military can be a positive option and pathway toward future success for some individuals βπ
We are thankful for those who serve β€οΈπ€π and grateful they took the time to invest in our students and their futures! π πΊπΈ π€
