The Wake Forest Police Department (WFPD) will “serve” area residents in an entirely different way Thursday, July 16, during the “Tip-A-Cop for Special Olympics” fundraiser.

Several officers will be “working” at the Texas Roadhouse, from 5-9 p.m. assisting restaurant staff by clearing tables, delivering beverage orders, and more!

At the end of the day, all the tips the officers receive for their efforts will go to Special Olympics NC to support the athletes who participate in the organization’s year-round sports, health, and fitness programs.

The WFPD is also accepting SONC donations online at https://bit.ly/WFPDSpecialOlympics. All funds raised online and during the July 16 Tip-A-Cop go to SONC as part of The Law Enforcement Torch Run.
