Today marks one year since we lost my mom, Cathy.

Many of you knew her as one of the original LOUD Babbs. She was in the comments during lives, cheering everyone on, sharing ideas, and celebrating every strange little thing I wanted to try.

What many people didn’t see was everything she did behind the scenes. She folded boxes, helped make bracelets for the Serotonin collection, and supported LOUD however she could. No matter how difficult things got, she never suggested giving up. She always believed we could keep building something special together.

For almost 20 years, Mom lived with dialysis and more health challenges than anyone should have to face. Even then, she spent more time worrying about the people she loved than herself.

This last year has been difficult. Not just because I miss her, but because so much of my life revolved around caring for her and making sure she was okay. Losing that role left a space I don’t know how to fill.

If you’ve noticed I’ve been quieter online, that’s part of why.

Lately, we’ve been trying to figure out what moving forward looks like as a family. So far, it looks like planting sunflowers, taking the kids on adventures, and learning how to make room for joy again.

Mom was always proud of LOUD, and I hope she’d be proud of where we’re headed too.

So Strawberry fest went SO WELL, I ran out of bottles and most of the summer colors. Conveniently I already had a bottle order on the way and it was delivered today! I’ve set live the rest I had liquid batches for but will be working on restocking other limited shades over the next week AND, obv, my summer collection.

It’s Strawberry Festival today so I did some cute little strawberry nails using supernova, frog in a blender and Pterodactyls Swarming!

Yesterday was a dream. hosted Made With Pride and the community definitely came out to support. We got some sprinkles and rain in the afternoon but people still showing up dancing in the rain and supporting local makers!
I also did a trade with my neighbors and . Make sure to give them both a follow. You might be seeing more of Oddwayout because we chatted a little about collaborating! I need your thoughts on what you would want to see from them!

Running a small business as a mom means during summer breaks, kids are all up in your workspace constantly. Spending a couple hours working from a coffee shop today to get some work done without interruptions. lol
