Ruby graduated today! 🎓🐾

This sweet little girl came to Structured K9 Training with lots of energy, whining, and excitement. Over the past few weeks she learned structure, calm behavior, leash manners, and how to focus and work with her owner.

Ruby can be a little stubborn at times, but she’s incredibly smart and eager to learn. Today her mom came back for the second day of go-home training so they could practice everything together and build their communication as a team.

Ruby is adorable, affectionate, and well on her way to becoming a calm, obedient, and loving companion.

Great job Ruby! 👏🐶

Giddy Update 🐾

Giddy finished all of his medications and he’s healing a little more each day. His appetite is good, he’s moving around the yard with me, and he’s finally getting some real rest. I’m including a photo of his surgical area so you can see how the incision is healing — it was a major procedure, but everything is looking clean and healthy.

It was a big moment seeing him outside again with the other dogs. They’ve been calm around him and seem to know he’s recovering, which has helped him settle back into his routine.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, or checked in on us. Your support has truly helped us through a very stressful week. I’m posting a couple of photos so you can see how he’s doing today.

UPDATE: Giddy is HOME ❤️
Thank you all so much for the support. We’ve raised $2,400 so far, and I’m genuinely humbled by the generosity, prayers, and messages.

Giddy is home after a major abdominal surgery for bloat/GDV. He’s sore and tired, but he’s here — and I’m grateful for every minute with him. The vets said acting quickly made all the difference.

The original emergency estimate was nearly $15,000, but I asked if they could reduce costs wherever possible, and they were able to apply a 10% military discount and work with me. His final bill came out to $10,717, which was a relief compared to the original projection.

On top of this, Giddy had a $6,500 orthopedic knee surgery just eight weeks ago after he suddenly lost the use of his rear leg. I covered that surgery out of pocket, and having this second emergency happen so soon afterward has made things extremely difficult.
Because of everything, I lowered the GoFundMe goal to $10,500, which matches this emergency bill as closely as possible. Thank you again to everyone who has donated, shared, or reached out — it truly means more than you know.

Giddy is back with his pack, he is wearing a protective shirt for his stitches and now resting as he is exhausted. I’ll keep everyone updated as he recovers. ❤️
