The process.. First we paint our pieces with ceramic underglazes. They are chalky and dull, literally made of earth, just like clay. When fired (cooked) at 1890 degrees, they turn to ceramic. The process for a full kiln (oven) is about 48 hours. I compare it to sand struck by lightening, thus turning to glass. Opening a finished kiln is one of our greatest delights. See for yourself!
