Tomorrow, we join our community in honoring the life and service of TCSO Deputy Randy Hopper. As a result, riders may experience route delays and route changes during the funeral procession. Please plan ahead and allow for extra time. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we pay our respects.

From the Tulare County Sheriff comes the following information:

Funeral Service: Tuesday, April 28th | 10:00 AM Visalia First Assembly, 3737 S. Akers, Visalia

Final Procession: From Visalia First to Salser and Dillard Funeral Home

Procession & Traffic Impacts:

β€’ Monday (Viewing): Visalia Police Department will assist with es**rts and intersection closures as needed.
β€’ Tuesday (Service & Procession): VPD will es**rt the procession to and from the service, managing traffic along the route. This will include a hard closure of Caldwell Avenue at all major intersections leading to Visalia First during the service and final procession. The public is welcome to show support from the sidewalk; however, please keep Caldwell clear of all vehicles

β€’ The first procession is expected to depart at approximately 9:30 AM and continue through approximately 9:40 AM.

β€’ The second procession will occur at the conclusion of the service, anticipated at approximately 1:00 PM, as Detective Hoppert is es**rted from Visalia First to Salser and Dillard Funeral Home.

β€’ The Visalia Police Department will issue a public service announcement on social media once all roadways have fully reopened.

The public is welcome to show support from the sidewalk; however, please keep Caldwell clear of all vehicles.

We ask our community to please plan ahead, expect delays, and use alternate routes when possible.
