🐾 FLEAS ARE SMALL… BUT THEY CAN BECOME A BIG PROBLEM FAST! 😳
Did you know…
• A single flea can lay up to 50 eggs a day
• Fleas don’t just live on pets — they hide in carpet, couches, and cracks in floors
• Flea bites are usually around your ankles and legs
• You might not see fleas, but you’ll notice the itching and scratching
💡 HOW TO GET RID OF FLEAS:
✔ Vacuum daily to remove eggs and larvae
✔ Wash pet bedding in hot water
✔ Use vet-approved flea treatment on your pets
✔ Keep your yard trimmed and clean
✔ Treat BOTH your home and pets (this is where most people mess up)
⚠️ If you only treat your pet and not your home, fleas will keep coming back

🦟 MOSQUITO SEASON IS HERE!
Did you know the biggest reason mosquitoes take over your yard is standing water? Even a small amount—like in a plant saucer or clogged gutter—can turn into a breeding ground fast.
✔️ Dump out standing water regularly
✔️ Check window and door screens
✔️ Use EPA-approved repellents for protection
✔️ Keep yards clean and dry
🚫 Avoid leaving water sitting in things like:
• Bird baths (without cleaning)
• Kiddie pools
• Buckets, tires, and clogged gutters
💡 Fun fact: Mosquitoes are weak flyers—using fans outside can actually help keep them away!

Keeping your home pest-free starts with small habits like these 👍

🪰 CRANE FLY FUN FACTS!
Did you know…
🪰 Crane flies are often mistaken for giant mosquitoes… but they don’t bite or sting!
🪰 Most adult crane flies only live for a few days 😳
🪰 Many of them don’t even eat — their main purpose is to mate and lay eggs
🪰 Their larvae (called “leatherjackets”) live in soil and can feed on grass roots
🪰 They’re attracted to moist areas, especially after rain or overwatering
🪰 They may look scary… but they’re actually completely harmless to humans
🪰 People call them “mosquito hawks”… but that’s actually a nickname more accurately used for dragonflies
(Crane flies do NOT eat mosquitoes)
⸻
😅 So while they won’t hurt you…
seeing a lot of them could mean conditions that attract other pests
