Olya Chulovskyy is a sixth generation artist born in Odessa, Ukraine and grew up in Florida. She studied drawing and painting throughout school and college, participating in state and local art events. This past weekend, I had the honor to be in the Miss Cultural pageant representing Ukraine. Over the past couple of months I have been preparing for the pageant and was finally able to present these paintings for the talent portion of the evening. Now I get to share them with everyone here. Each one has a special meaning, a tie to our culture and to my story.
