This was our first visit here and we highly recommned this place! Their fired squid tails appetizer was golden-brown, audibly crisp tentacles and head still attached, looking like a tiny deep-fried octopus crown. The surface is a rugged, bubbly, shatter-crisp crust that crackles loudly when you bite — almost cartoonishly loud. Inside, the squid flesh stays juicy and bouncy, never rubbery, with that faint natural sweetness of fresh cephalopod. You get little pockets of super-hot oil trapped in the curls, a quick flash of heat, then the clean, lightly briny ocean taste comes through.
For my main dish I got the Crab meat flat bread. The overall vibe is bright and balanced: the crab’s delicate sweetness plays off the corn’s pop, the avocado’s creaminess smooths out the garlic kick, and the cheese melts into everything for that comforting, indulgent bite. The crust stays crisp underneath, so you get a satisfying crunch with each slice, rather than a soggy pie. It’s often described as an “upgraded” afternoon tea companion—fancy enough for the Instagram aesthetic Prince Tea House loves, but approachable and craveable.
And of course I got the prince citrus blend tea. In the cup (usually served in a cute individual teapot at Prince Tea House), it brews up a pale golden-green hue with a clean, aromatic steam that hits you with jasmine flowers first, then a burst of fresh citrus peel and juicy fruit. The taste is:
• Bright and uplifting — zingy citrus that wakes up your palate without being puckeringly sour.
• Floral undertones — the jasmine gives it a soft, almost honeyed elegance.
• Balanced sweetness — naturally fruity and mildly sweet from the citrus oils, no added sugar needed (though you can always add a touch if you like it sweeter).
• Refreshing finish — clean, slightly herbal, and thirst-quenching, making it great hot on cooler days or iced for Virginia Beach’s warmer vibes.
