Got a you want to pick up?! Start here!
BACKSTORY: One of my favorite classes during in at taught me about all different sort of theories and ways to prompt them.
To this day one of my favorite notes I kept from during my was what I call my “Manipulation List”- a list of strategies and the essence of theories that have demonstrated positive impacts on getting people- including one’s self- to change their habits. And today, I’m sharing part of it with you!
: Keep in mind that different strategies can work for different habits, and some take a few times to really test out, so don’t write one off just because it doesn’t work the first time you try it out. Give it a go a couple of times and even test it out with a different habit to find what works best for you! (And pro tip #2: track what works/what doesn’t and why so you can use the info later to better .)

How often do you intentionally use your ?
Do you even know what they are if I asked?
This week in The 2020 Challenges the focus is on intentionally using your strengths.
The first step is typically though because how can you doing something with if you don't know what it is?! Any time I hire someone to my team I make them take two assessments so the team and I can get to know them a little more quickly, understand how they think, and some of the strengths they bring to the table. I think it's an incredibly valuable exercise because it also gives us a starting list of strengths to focus on as we set their goals for the current bonus period. When my team sets goals I like for us to take a moment to reflect on their strengths and see what could be applied where, and where something could be tapped into more.
As we go through our own day to day lives I believe there are so many opportunities for us to utilize our strengths more and in different ways, but sometimes it's not blatantly obvious how this can be done. It especially makes things more difficult if you don't know what strengths you have to tap into, so I highly recommend everyone taking an assessment to get to know themselves a little bit more and help put labels to things that you probably already know on a subconscious (or sometimes even conscience level if you've taken the time!) level.
So what are your options? There are tons!
Here are just a few of my favorite personality assessments to have people take and what they focus on. Each has a free version available on their website, just run it past google and you'll be onto the assessment and reading your results in under 10 minutes!
