Today's Project Time Capsule pic. This is the sign on the original fence. Check out that phone number. It started with "Jackson".

Another pic from the time capsule project. Putting plans, and budgets together at this point. I love touring houses like this.

It's rare you get the original(hand drawn) house plans and neighborhood plat from a homeowner. Check out the dates. This is going to be a very cool renovation.

HELLO EVERYONE! We hope you are having a great humpday!

For anyone that know us, you know our goal is to be fair. More often than not we give a range for pricing even for small projects. We do that so that we don't have to guess high, and overcharge, but it also gives us room for the unforeseen. Even after YEARS of doing this type of work you can find things that will surprise you once you get into them.

Here is a great example. This is from the Marietta project. The area between the doors was done by the previous owner. We wanted to clean it up and give it a nice simple look. What we found once we removed the very poorly constructed columns was disappointing to say the least. We figured it had hardie board, or plywood as the base, but it turns out to be drywall. They did use green board like you use in a bathroom, or high moisture area, but it's by no means an outdoor rated product. These unforeseeable things can change the price on a small project fast. This is why we love to use a range. It makes things easy, and the discussions are quick and easy.

The single most important thing you should look for in a contractor is "someone you can trust". While we say this to people daily, it's not an easy thing to figure out. Do your due diligence when you hire people. Remember, you are a team that should be working together to insure your project is as good as it can be.
