This Sunday is the 6th Sunday After Pentecost.
In the month of July, we will be taking a look at the first chapter of the book of Mark.

👉Sermon: Mark 1 : 9-13
This weekend as we celebrate our country's independence and freedom, we will consider the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness and how he exercised his freedom to choose.
Worldly culture might define freedom mostly as "the absence of restriction" — I can do whatever I want. However, Jesus models freedom as "the presence of purpose" — I can choose to do what I was sent to do, the right thing, even if it's incredibly hard.

A Prayer for Purpose

Almighty God,
We pray that you would surround our freedom of choice with purpose,
a purpose that will firmly anchor our hearts in your divine calling,
that we may forever walk undivided in the power of your truth.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.🙏
